Citizenship by Investment (CBI)
Argentina's new direct citizenship program. A USD $350,000 Treasury contribution or a USD $800,000 government bond, with spouse and children included. No residency required. Applications expected to open in Q4 2026.

Argentine citizenship after two years of legal, continuous residency. No investment required, no formal language test, and dual citizenship permitted.
Learn More →Citizenship by Option
For children born abroad to an Argentine-born parent. No residency or investment required, just a straightforward documentary application. Some birthrights simply need the paperwork to catch up.
Residency
Investor Residency (Inversionista)
Residency through investment in a productive Argentine business or asset: vineyards, agribusiness, hospitality and more. BBI Argentina sources and structures the investment; thresholds are confirmed for each application.
Learn More →Rentista Visa

Pensionado Visa
For retirees receiving a government or private pension from abroad of at least 5× the Argentine minimum wage (approx. USD $1,270/month). One-year residency, renewable, with a pathway to citizenship after two years.
Digital Nomad Visa
Up to 180 days, renewable once, for remote workers from visa-exempt countries. It does not count toward citizenship, which makes it an ideal trial run before converting to Rentista residency.
Mercosur Residency

Family Residency
For spouses, children and parents of Argentine citizens. The fastest route to residency in Argentina.
Work Visa
For applicants with a job offer from a registered Argentine employer, who files the application on your behalf.
Student Visa
For students enrolled at a recognized Argentine institution. Argentina's public universities are tuition-free for international students.
BBI Argentina is not a law firm. Citizenship and residency requirements, thresholds and timelines are confirmed for each applicant by our partner citizenship and residency firm.
